The Biggest Boyband songs of the 90s....oh yes!

So, i was getting ready for work and i hear on the tv something that I have not heard in years. A Take That song, followed by Boyzone, then Backstreet Boys. By this time i had ran into the living room to see how the songs of my childhood could be all together. A music channel was doing the Biggest Boyband songs of the 90s! Genious!

Nowadays, I am not so much into pop music but as a young child I was the ultimate pop princess. The songs were just so happy and could make you dance in a beat, what was no to like?! The fact that Take That and Boyzone are now back on the music scene was exciting but i think i had grown out of it slightly, I did go see Boyzone in concert and enjoyed behaving like a love struck teen again however.

The cheesy lines, the terrible outfits and the dance moves that you learnt off by heart were all part of the fun. I remember my best friend and I arguing over who was the cutest in A1 (see below). The we'd spend hours singing to out hearts content to their album. It is true that music can bring back so many memories, it is a strong genre and if i am honest i dont think there is any other that can bring back such strong ones. When you hear a song you can remember where you were and how you felt hearing it (or singing to it in my case).

The other special group to us was Five. Oh how we loved them. They played a big part in our growing up! Like they did in many girls my age, and those before us. It just changes with generations. My Mom loves Dr Hook, whenever she goes and sees him in concert I can imagine her being a 'groupy' and loving every minute of it. M Nan's was probably Frank Sinatra and those that are in the next generation will be indie bands. I listen to those bands now, its just nothing will replace the boybands that had us in such a state as young teen girls.

So I leave you with something that made my day, have a good thursday everyone!
