Its been a while since I blogged. This time of year is a busy one for everyone that celebrates Christmas, and it just seems that I have been none stop with work and shopping. Planning journeys up and down the country and of course the odd sleep!

As far back as I can remember, I have loved Christmas, in fact I remember thinking once 'I wish christmas could be everyday'. I was lucky enough to have everything as a little girl. I never asked for anything yet got lots. My mom and dad would lay out a HUGE bag of goodies from Father Christmas and I would open my bedroom door on Christmas Morning to find my stocking stopping the door from opening. But as I am older now Christmas is all about family. Me and my partner live away form home and it is this time of year that I miss doing the family things that I took for granted as a teen.

Firtsly, there is the Christmas tree and decorations. Although I was never much help, never had any organisation and would just make the tea- I loved helping Dad decorate, it was a family job. Now I have my own tree, it is only 2 foot tall but it is mine.

Then there was the build up to the big day. Shopping and wrapping! My mom would always ask me to wrap my sisters presents, and vice versa, this year I am not going to get the chance to help. After much delibertion, we decided to go home for christmas this year but we wil miss all the helping and setting up. No matter how much I moaned with helping with food last year I really want to help this year, typical!

This post is not about what I have, but what others may not. There are millions of people in this world that will not have a happy christmas, probably will not even celebrate it, for whatever reason. Personally I find this hard to take. I have the type of nature that wants to help everyone and give all I can, although I know I cant. Whether they be homeless or in a deprived state everyone deserves a chance to have a merry christmas. This is why everyone should simply give a thought to them.

We all take things for granted, even the little things like turkey and potatoes. Unfortunately it is going to take more than a few prayers to help the millions I am talkign about, but at least we can think about them and consider what can be done for them. Even if it is as small as sending a shoe box full of gifts and food.

It is just an idea for next christmas. Something small, that will make someone smile :)
